Italy becomes today, 15 December 2023, the Convention’s 22nd Contracting State.
Italy successfully ratified the Convention and deposited its instrument of accession with the Depositary, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, on 15 September 2023. The latter notified all Contracting States on the accession of Italy.
Italy's Assay Offices, authorised to apply the Convention's Common Control Mark (CCM), will be the precious metals laboratories of the following three Chambers of Commerce:
- Alessandria (AL)
- Arezzo (AR)
- Vicenza (VI)
