Geneva (10 February 2014): Following a declaration of intent, Croatia has now applied for membership to the Convention. The complete application was received on 31 January 2014. The next step will be for the Standing Committee to appoint an Inspection Team, which will visit Croatia in order to verify that the country is able to apply the Convention's requirements. The visit will take place in the course of 2014.
